Weather conditions:

Small snow-free patches and ice-free ponds already appeared in settlement vicinities on 4-18 June, also generally landscape had winter look due to rich with snow winter. On 6-13 September almost daily short-term snowfalls occurred at positive air temperatures, while on 14 September establishment of snowcover started.

BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

Breeding conditions:

Single Rough-legged Buzzard, two Short-eared Owls, and migrating Pomorine and Long-tailed Skuas were recorded.
Purple Sandpipers were common on migration, which peak occurred on 6 June. Despite late spring Ringed Plovers and Dunlins arrived on 5 June, Turnstones, Temmink's Stints, and Little Stints - on 6 June; Ruff males were met on 10 and 11 June.
Between 6 and 14 September few Purple Sandpipers and single Ringed Plovers were recorded, while Snowy Owls were common - 8 birds/10 km.
 

Rodent dynamics:

Siberian Lemmings were met twice from 4-18 June.
